David A. Black is the Vice President of King-Reed Corporate Risk Solutions. Mr. Black offers consulting services to government and corporate clients, specializing in security issues and workplace violence.

Mr. Black has been a licensed Private Investigator since 1989. Previous to this, he was a Military Police Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces and a Police Officer with the Trenton Police Department for 14 years. During that time, he worked on undercover assignments, including a joint force investigation with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Drug Enforcement Section. Prior to joining King-Reed, Mr. Black was the Director of a successful Eastern Ontario based investigation agency, primarily practicing in large insurance and criminal defence matters.

Mr. Black is an active member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) and obtained the prestigious designation of Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through this organization in 1996. Mr. Black is the current President of the Council of Private Investigators - Ontario (CPIO) and remains active within this organization. He is a certified member of the Council of International Investigators (CII).

Known for his interviewing and interrogation skills, Mr. Black has often been called to lecture in this area. He provides advice and training in the areas of Risk Management and Facility Security.
